Why to buy a new mobile phone?

We live in a world defined by communication in the virtual world, where me are more accustomed to talk with friends on line and via SMS than by meeting them face to face. People have busy lives and don’t have the time or the willingness to meet as often as people did 20 or 30 years ago. This paradigm is supported by the development of technology, which allows people from all over the world to stay in touch, on the go, using small cell phones, mini computers or tablets. Technology is cheaper and cheaper by the day and is produced by companies around the world. If 20 years ago, only a few lucky people had access to a cell phone, today people have 2  or 3 them and have the luxury to keep some at home, for spare parts. Also, technology is more and easier to understand and use by everyone, as the necessary knowledge to use these gadgets is not very complex and thus you can start using a phone or a laptop only by thumbing away on them for a while. Of course, mobile phones are not the same now as they were 20 years ago and the technology and user experience new cell phones resemble more a SF movie rather than an electronic device. If you use an older type of cell phone, you might want to consider buying another one, a new one. New cell phones have much more functions than older phones and are actually some sort of mini computers in a package the size of a pack of smokes. The term “smart phones” comes from the fact that these devices have inside hardware strong enough to be compared with larger device and have features that you never had on a phone before. For example, you can browse the web directly from your phone, as the device comes with either a WiFi or a 3G modem- some even come with both! Using browsers, just like a computer, a new smart phone can be used to download files, check websites like Facebook or Twitter, send and receive emails and many more. You can even access websites like Youtube or Hulu and stream videos from them, even HD. Of course, the screen of a cell phone is not very big, but considering you can do it anywhere, like on the bus or lying in bed, it’s a pretty good deal. Similarly, most smart phones can play games, some of them pretty pretentious in terms of graphics. Some smart phones can even work as mini working computers, as they can display PDF and other document types and you can even modify them on the go. Also, you can use the phone as music and video player, as most of these devices come with enough storage space to store at least 10 hours’ worth of music and 3-4 hours of high quality videos.  Another big advantage of smart phones is that they have touch screens, thus making user experience a little more intuitive and fun. Instead of a cramped keyboard, you can interact with the phone straight on the screen. And for gaming and texting, this option is much more comfy than using a keyboard. Last, but not least, you have a strong battery on most smart phones, as on a single charge you can have more than 10 hours of conversation or 20-30 of music playback.
